Q : What are
Playscapes?
A : Playscapes are
handcrafted and hand painted 3D wooden wall murals that
can be used to decorate childrens rooms, nurseries, Pre
Schools, play rooms and anywhere kids like to spend
time. We offer 15 different themes and scenes of all
types to create a world of imagination for your child.
Q :
Where are Playscapes made?
A : Playscapes are
made in our small factory at Archies Creek, South East
of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
Q : How long has
Playscapes been in operation?
A : Playscapes began
operating in 1994, which makes us the "original" and
oldest wooden wall mural company in Australia. We also
have a sister company in America (www.justkidsrooms.com)
that manufacture and distributes Playscapes for the Nth
American market.
Q : I've seen other
mural companies with the same themes as yours, why are
yours better?
A : They say that
"imitation is the sincerest form of flattery", and "when
you're doing something well others will try and copy
you". Yes, others have tried to copy us and what we do,
even to the extent of copying the wording from our
website. So what do you do? You can't go around suing
everybody, so we counter that by ensuring that every
aspect of our business is something that we are proud of
and makes us feel good about. We ensure that all of our
items are of the highest quality and that your
experience shopping with us is not just a pleasant one
but one you would recommend to your friends and family.
We ensure our themes
and scenes are eye catching and original and something
we would quite happily put in our own home. (Which we
have!) There are imitators out there who offer cheap and
poor quality murals, so we advise you to be careful when
choosing who you buy from. After all, you get what you
pay for and we want to make your childs space somewhere
they want to be!
Q : Do you come and
paint the rooms like in your pictures?
A : In short, No. As
much as we would love to do that, we have our hands full
running Playscapes. there are many wonderful artists out
there who offer such a service, check our links page to
find relevant links to what you may be after.
Q: How do your
Playscapes stick onto the walls?
A : We use velcro
pads on the back of each piece, so you merely peel off
the backing tape and place it where you want it to go.
Perfect for renting as you can take it all with you when
you go. Velcro is also easily removed from walls.
Q: How do I become a
distributor?
A : The first step is to
contact us via email or phone, we welcome all enquiries
to become a Playscapes Distributor no matter where you
are in the world. Then it's just a matter of getting you
set up and you're away. We offer very generous profit

ORDERING OF GOODS
Q : How safe is
shopping on www.Playscapes.com.au?
A : It is of the utmost importance to us
that you can give us your personal and payment
details online in complete confidence. Playscapes has
taken every possible measure to maintain the
confidentiality of the personal information that you
give provide us. Your credit details are deleted and/or
destroyed as soon as your payment is made. And under no
circumstances are your details shared with any other
party or business.
Q: How do I place an order?
A : Once you have selected your items or
themes, add them to your shopping cart by clicking on
the shopping cart icon. Each item is individually
priced. You will enter your shipping details and also
your payment details. If you have any special
instructions or important informatio, please tell us in
the special instructions box. Once you complete you
order, we will confirm the information you have given
us. At this stage you will have the chance to make any
changes to your selected items, delivery address and
payment details. Once you're done, click the 'submit'
button. You'll automatically receive a confirmation
email. Please print it out for your records.
Q: Can you tell me
the availability of a specific item?
A : All items are available unless
otherwise stated on the catalogue. Unavailable items
will be marked with a red "this item is unavailable" or
similar in the description box.
DELIVERY
Q : How and when do you deliver?
A : All of our items are shipped via
Australia Post unless otherwise pre arranged with us. We
ship your order as soon as your all of the pieces are
completed, providing the final balance has been paid in
full. Please note, under no circumstances will we ship
or deliver items unless full payment has been made or a
prior arrangement made with us. Please be aware that due
to a high turnover of some pieces, and because we are a
small business, we are unable to keep large amounts of
stock at hand.
Q : Can I
order Online and collect from a retail store or
warehouse?
A : We are happy for you to collect
orders from our premises, but at this point have no
retail outlet to collect from.
Q : Do you deliver overseas?
A : Yes, we ship all over the world.
Playscapes are available in Nth America from
www.justkidsrooms.com who manufacture Playscapes on
site.
PAYMENT
Q : How do I pay for
my order?
A :
When ordering online, after choosing your merchandise
you will be asked to select your preferred method of
payment from card payments or cheque. Once you have made
your choice, simply follow the instructions on screen
until the process is complete. We accept all major
cards, (visa, mastercard, Amex) and Paypal. You can also
pay by bank transfer, money order or cheque.
Please note
international orders cannot be paid by cheque.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND
Q : What if I wish to
cancel my order before delivery, but after I've paid?
A : If you choose to cancel your order
before delivery, we will offer you a full refund to your
nominated account. However if your order was paid for by
credit card, we will charge a 2% levy to cover our
merchant bankers transaction charge.
A :
Cancellation of
custom made orders;
If we custom make an item for you in a specific style or
colour, you must advise us "before" the items are
shipped, at which time a cancellation charge will be 40%
of the total order. This is due to the items not being
able to be resold as stock items. Unfortunately we are
unable to refund custom orders for lettering.
Q :
What if I don't like
it after it's been delivered?
A : We regret we are unable to accept the
return of delivered items unless the item is damaged.
Due to all of our items being hand crafted and hand
painted, occasionally some minor impurities or
imperfection might occur. We believe this is the beauty
of having an original hand painted piece. We advise that
some colours may look different on a computer screen and
also reserve the right to alter colours/designs as
deemed necessary by us.
RETURN AND EXCHANGE
Q : What do I do if
my purchased item arrives damaged?
A : We take great effort in packing and
shipping our products so they arrive safely. All items
are checked for quality prior to shipping. It is
disappointing for you and us when occasionally things go
wrong. If you receive your order and find damaged goods.
Please notify us immediately. Claims for damaged goods
must be made within 14 days of receiving
your order. No claim for damages will be accepted after
this time.
SERVICE
Q : What do I do if I
have a complaint with an online order?
A : if you are not satisfied in any way,
please contact us immediately and we will do whatever we
can to rectify the situation. We are a small family
business committed to providing the best customer
service we can. We are also friendly and love to hear
feedback from our customers on ways we can improve our
business.
